Get involved in our work!
The role of migrants as volunteers in Cultúr is vital to our current and ongoing work and we are seeking to actively promote and ensure that migrants have opportunities to participate in informing and shaping our work, its direction, along with being key decision makers in the strategic direction of the organisation.
We are currently seeking migrants to get involved with the following areas of work:
- Meath Migrants Forum - are you interested in supporting a collective meeting space where migrants come together to discuss their issues and experiences living in Co. Meath, we are re establishing the core organising group to organise and co-ordinate the Meath Migrants Forum - please see our website for more info on this initiative. This would require one monthly meeting of the group to support the bi-monthly meeting of the Forum. If you are interested in human rights and equality issues then this group may be for you!
- Board of Cultúr - have you an interest in supporting the strategic direction on a community organisation working with migrants in the county and to gain board member skills at the same time. The requirement would be a monthly board meeting plus participation in one of the board’s sub groups-this may be on a monthly or bi-monthly basis depending on the sub group.
- Getting Involved - we have other groups that support migrant participation, if you are interested in becoming a community organiser for these groups or in participating in these groups, if you have an interest in migrant issues-again the requirement would be outlined clearly in advance e.g. women’s group, education and work group
Please contact the project manager Sinead Smith in our office or on email@example.com re further information on the above.
